The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) began its 2025 academic year with a convocation event that focused on the theme of teamwork. The event featured performances by students and faculty, including a rendition of the National Anthem by student Shay Bravo-Bezard and music from Mariachi Plata. The CSN Performing Arts Department presented a Cultural Competition Dance, and the college’s cheer team performed the fight song.
President Stacy Klippenstein emphasized the importance of collaboration at CSN during his remarks. He involved attendees in an interactive exercise where they worked together using pipes and connectors to build something as a group. Klippenstein stated that achieving significant goals at CSN requires collective effort: “big goals at CSN won’t be built by one person alone—it’ll take every hand, every idea, and every teammate.”
The convocation also recognized individuals for their contributions to the college community. According to organizers, these honorees exemplify how teamwork is already present across all campuses: “Their commitment and contributions remind us that teamwork isn’t just a theme—it’s already alive and well across our campuses.”
The event combined elements of a pep rally, talent showcase, and team meeting as CSN prepared for the upcoming academic year.
