United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has announced its 10th Annual Day of Caring, scheduled for September 19, 2025. The event, presented by PNC Bank, is recognized as the largest volunteer day in Southern Nevada and aims to bring together hundreds of participants to support students, families, seniors, and nonprofit organizations across the region.

The event will start with a kickoff celebration at Town Square Park at 8:30 a.m., where volunteers will be offered breakfast and have opportunities to participate in a program and win prizes before heading out to more than 40 service projects throughout the valley.

“For ten years, Day of Caring has reminded us what’s possible when we stand together,” said Samuel Rudd, President and CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada. “Volunteers, community partners, and generous sponsors come together each year to create lasting change for our neighbors. United is the way we strengthen Southern Nevada—one act of service at a time.”

Volunteer activities planned for the day include assembling school supply kits, working on school gardens, preparing food donations, and supporting basic needs services. These efforts are expected to benefit thousands of people in the area.

Denette Suddeth, PNC regional president for Nevada, commented on PNC’s involvement: “As a long-time supporter and board member, I know first-hand the positive and powerful difference that United Way makes in our community. That’s why PNC is so proud to sponsor the Day of Caring. This event is a great way to get involved in helping to make Southern Nevada an even better place to live.”

United Way encourages individuals, families, corporate teams, and community groups to participate. No prior experience is required. Those interested can sign up or learn about sponsorship opportunities at uwsn.org/caring.
