Western Nevada College’s Child Development Center (CDC) has been named the Best Child Care/Day Care Provider in Carson City for the eighth consecutive year by the Nevada Appeal. The award was presented on August 22 at Casino Fandango.

CDC Director Anna Lisa Acosta-Rogers attributes the center’s continued recognition to its focus on early childhood education and daily commitment to quality care. “We are so incredibly proud of winning this award for the past eight years,” Acosta-Rogers said. “We truly love what we do and are honored to care for the children we serve.”

WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe highlighted the dedication of CDC staff and their impact on local families. “Western Nevada College is tremendously proud of the Child Development Center and the extraordinary team of educators who make this recognition possible year after year,” Dalpe said. “Earning the community’s trust as the top child care provider for eight straight years speaks to their unwavering dedication, quality of care, and the vital role they play in supporting families and shaping the earliest stages of education in our region.”

The CDC serves nearly 100 children from local families each day, providing safety, care, and educational programs. The center distinguishes itself as the only National Association for the Education of Young Children accredited program in Carson City, excluding Washoe County, and holds a five-star rating from Nevada Department of Education’s Quality Rating and Improvement System.
