The Western Nevada College Foundation will hold its 26th annual Golf for Education Tournament on Friday, September 26, at the Toiyabe Golf Club in Washoe Valley. The event aims to raise funds to support students pursuing workforce certifications in fields such as manufacturing, welding, and software technology.
WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe said, “We are deeply grateful to our community partners and players who make this tournament possible year after year. Their generosity allows us to support students with the programs they need to succeed, while also boosting the industries that drive our state’s economy. We look forward to another fantastic event.”
Funds raised from the tournament will help students overcome financial barriers and obtain credentials that lead to employment opportunities in Nevada’s growing job market.
Niki Gladys, WNC Foundation Executive Director, stated, “We are excited to, once again, host this exciting event while raising important funding for our students. This tournament is a great opportunity for members of the community to help students with financial need acquire the certifications essential for meaningful employment to support Nevada's expanding economy.”
