Western Nevada College is offering students increased flexibility this fall by providing open entry, late start, and short-term courses even after the semester has begun. These options are designed to help students manage their studies alongside work, family, and other personal commitments.

The college offers a range of flexible learning formats, including self-paced and instructor-guided courses that vary in length from 16 weeks to eight weeks or less. WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe said, “Whether students are beginning their educational journey or continuing toward their goals, WNC is here to support them with flexible options that fit their lives. It’s never too late to take that next step in higher education, and we’re ready to help students succeed this fall.”

Students can enroll in open entry classes through the ninth week of the semester in subjects such as American Sign Language, Business, Construction Management, Early Childhood Education, Career and Technical Teacher Training, English, Finance, Mathematics, Psychology and more. Many late-start courses will begin on October 20. Short-term courses are also available at different times during the semester.

Prospective students can view available classes at wnc.edu/class-schedule/ and apply online at wnc.edu/starthere. Admissions & Records staff can be reached by phone at 775-445-3277 for assistance. Advising appointments can be scheduled through https://wncadvising.youcanbook.me/.
