Ashley Perez, a 2024 graduate of the College of Southern Nevada's (CSN) dental assisting program, has been selected as one of ten recipients nationwide for the 2025 Liz Koch Memorial Scholarship. The award is given by the DALE Foundation, which is affiliated with the Dental Assisting National Board.
Perez currently works as a dental assistant at the CSN Dental Faculty Practice. She plans to use the scholarship to pursue her Certified Dental Assistant credential.
"As a first-generation, firstborn daughter to immigrant parents, I realized that healthcare was a privilege," Perez said. "I always knew I would want to give back and help as many people as I could."
Perez stated that receiving this honor encourages her to continue her education and support patients who encounter challenges in accessing dental care or communication.
