The College of Southern Nevada's Financial Aid team will host two online information sessions to explain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and its impact on student financial aid eligibility. The sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, October 15 from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. and Thursday, October 16 from 4 to 5 p.m., and will be held via Microsoft Teams.

These events are intended for CSN staff and faculty who want to better understand SAP requirements and support students in maintaining their academic standing and financial aid eligibility. The sessions will cover how SAP is calculated, including grade point average, pace of completion, and maximum timeframe for program completion. Additional topics include the consequences when students do not meet SAP standards, the appeal process, and strategies for assisting students.

According to the Financial Aid team: “SAP can sound intimidating, but really, it’s just a way to help our students stay on track with their academic path while also maintaining their financial aid eligibility.”

Participants can sign up to receive an invitation with meeting details.
