Artificial intelligence is already being used in various educational tasks such as grading essays, creating presentations, and producing graphics. In response to these changes, the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) will host the AI Summit 2025 from October 22 to 24 at Truckee Meadows Community College’s Dandini Campus in Reno. The event is open to all NSHE faculty and staff, who can attend either in person or via Zoom.
The summit aims to examine how AI is changing teaching, learning, and work within higher education. Sessions will include a keynote address by Reed Dickson of Pima Community College. Dickson will discuss ways higher education can adapt to artificial intelligence with an emphasis on creativity, ethics, and humanity.
According to the event organizers, “Nevada’s colleges are leading the way in exploring how AI can support, not replace, human intelligence.”
Registration for the summit is available online or by scanning a QR code provided on the event flyer.
