This fall, Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) has hosted several events and initiatives aimed at supporting students and engaging the community.

The college's second annual Spirit Day took place at the Dandini Campus, featuring student activities, athletics, and a campus march. The event was designed to foster school pride among attendees.

TMCC also highlighted its parcourse trail on the Dandini Campus. The trail was made possible through a donation from Moya Lear and the TMCC Student Government Association. Geology Professor Roger Putnam introduced new signage to enhance visitors' outdoor experiences.

In addition, the Foundation Scholarship Reception brought together more than 600 students along with members of the TMCC Foundation and Sponsored Programs Office. During this event, over $1 million in scholarships were awarded for the 2025-26 academic year. The presentation included stories from TMCC and expressions of gratitude to donors for their contributions.

Another development this fall is the relocation of Wizard's Warehouse, TMCC's food pantry operated in partnership with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. The pantry has moved to a new space inside the Pennington Health Science Center. Support from the American Heart Association helped make this move possible.

"Check out the new Wizard's Warehouse, our TMCC food pantry in partnership with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, at the new location inside the Pennington Health Science Center! A big thank-you to the American Heart Association for the support that made this possible."
