More than 30 employers attended Western Nevada College’s Fall Career Fair, held at the Link: the Community, Career & Employer Center in the Aspen Building on the Carson City campus. The event gave students a chance to meet with local and regional organizations from various sectors including healthcare, law enforcement, logistics, finance, and education.
Employers who participated included Bank of America, Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Carson Tahoe Health, Chromalloy, Edustaff, El Dorado County Probation and Sheriff's Office, ITS Logistics, Manpower, Mt. Grant General Hospital, Nevada Air National Guard, Reno Police Department, State of Nevada Rural Clinics and Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, UPS and others.
The fair was organized by WNC’s College and Career Readiness program. According to organizers: "Presented by WNC’s College and Career Readiness program, the event provided an invaluable opportunity for students to explore employment options, engage with industry professionals, and build meaningful connections for their future careers."
Students attending had opportunities to discuss jobs with employers ready to hire across different industries.
