The Early Childhood Education Lab at the North Las Vegas campus marked Campus Children’s Week with a range of activities focused on creativity and community. Throughout the week, children participated in reading circles, outdoor play, fitness sessions, art projects, and a parade on campus.

A special highlight was Pilates with CSN Athletics and Chalk on the Walks Day. President Dr. Stacy Klippenstein visited for a storytime session with the children.

Indigenous Peoples Day was also observed during the week. Dr. Theri Wycoff and Jack from the CSN Library read the banned book Fry Bread to students. The event included a cooking activity where children made fry bread with guidance from a Navajo guest.

“These experiences help children see themselves as part of the CSN community,” said LaNora Gallo. “They learn through play, stories, and the world around them.”

The celebration concluded with an ECE Campus Parade in which children marched across campus holding handmade signs.
