CSN professor’s documentary debuts at Hollywood Park Film Festival

Dr. Meena Singhal, an adjunct faculty member in the World Languages Department at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), recently saw her work featured at the Hollywood Park Film Festival in Inglewood, California. The documentary, titled Boundless Borders, had its world premiere at the festival.

The film is directed by Alessandro Gentile and co-produced by Heather Flores. It features Victor Andrade and tells the story of an undocumented student from Guatemala who overcomes language barriers, financial challenges, and fears of deportation to pursue higher education in the United States.

Dr. Singhal served as executive producer for Boundless Borders, bringing her experience from more than twenty years in education to the project. According to Dr. Singhal, "As the film’s executive producer, Dr. Singhal brings more than two decades of experience in education to the screen, shining a light on resilience, hope, and the transformative power of learning."

Boundless Borders will next be shown at the OC Film Fiesta in Santa Ana, California on October 25.
