Western Nevada College hosted an event at the Dini Student Center to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. The gathering included students, faculty, and staff who participated in activities designed to highlight the importance of education and prevention regarding breast cancer.
Carson City Health & Human Services attended the event and shared information about risk factors, early detection methods, mammograms, and treatment options. Their presence aimed to reinforce how education can play a role in preventing and managing breast cancer.
Attendees wore pink ribbons, bracelets, and shirts as a sign of support. They also engaged in creative activities, enjoyed refreshments, and wrote messages for friends and family members who are affected by the disease.
The event was organized to show solidarity with those impacted by breast cancer and to continue raising awareness within the college community.
