The upcoming Side Hustle Expo, in collaboration with the City of North Las Vegas, NV Capital Readiness Program (NVCRP), EmployNV, and the Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC), aims to provide a platform for student entrepreneurs. The event will allow students to present their businesses, connect with resources, and receive expert advice to enhance their ventures.

The timeline for participation begins on February 3rd when student applications open. The deadline for these applications is set for February 28th. A virtual information session for selected students is scheduled for March 31st. April will serve as a preparation month where participants will engage in advisory sessions. The main event is slated for May 1st.

Throughout April, the Small Business Connector (SBC) will offer personalized advisory services to assist participants in refining their pitches, business models, and strategies ahead of the expo. During the event itself, an expert judging panel comprising representatives from SBED, the City of North Las Vegas, NVCRP, EmployNV, and SBDC will provide feedback and guidance.

Following the expo, from June to July 2025, students can attend a series of seven workshops that cover various topics including business planning, marketing strategies, financial management, and long-term growth plans.

Prizes are also part of the initiative. Forty students will receive recognition awards: five $1,000 cash prizes and thirty-five $100 bookstore vouchers are up for grabs thanks to contributions from SBED and Blackstone LaunchPad.

This event represents an opportunity not only for participating student entrepreneurs but also for those interested in supporting emerging talent by attending and engaging with future innovators.
