Recently, students from Western Nevada College’s (WNC) Realizing Opportunities for the American Dream to Succeed (ROADS) program and an Automotive Mechanics class participated in a behind-the-scenes tour of Carson City Toyota. During the visit, they gained insights into various aspects of the automotive industry, including the car service intake process, advanced vehicle technology, parts preparation, and car detailing.

Jeff Hawkins, Service Manager at Carson City Toyota, informed students about available part-time and full-time job opportunities. He emphasized the importance of further education and obtaining ASE certifications for a successful career in the automotive sector.

“The students learned about the inner workings of how auto dealerships run and what they can expect from the field when they enter it,” stated WNC Auto Mechanics Instructor Alex Street. “We also had a long conversation about the trajectory of the automotive industry.”

Kara Spracklin, Workforce Development Liaison for WNC’s ROADS program, expressed gratitude towards Campagni Auto Group for their partnership. She said, “A big thank you to Campagni Auto Group for being an invaluable partner, helping to strengthen our local workforce and support WNC students!”
