United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has appointed Mike Katigbak as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With more than 30 years of financial leadership experience across nonprofit and corporate sectors, Katigbak will lead UWSN’s financial strategy and operations. His focus will include transparency, sustainability, and community impact.

“Mike’s extensive experience in both nonprofit and corporate finance makes him an exceptional addition to our team,” stated Samuel Rudd, President & CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada. “His ability to align strong financial systems with mission-driven work will support our vision of a thriving Southern Nevada.”

Katigbak is a licensed Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) and former Certified Management Accountant. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance. His career includes roles in multinational corporations, midsized businesses, and public institutions, giving him a mix of global financial governance and entrepreneurial agility.

Before his current appointment, Katigbak served as the Senior Director of Finance and Administration for Student Life Business Services at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He has also held leadership positions in various industries including education, healthcare, health insurance, manufacturing, financial services, and professional services.

In his new role, Katigbak will concentrate on strengthening UWSN’s fiscal foundation while ensuring transparency and compliance. He aims to support the organization’s long-term financial sustainability, maximizing the organization’s impact, and advancing its mission to aid individuals and families in Southern Nevada.
