The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is reminding drivers to plan for full directional closures of Interstate 15 (I-15) and associated ramps over two consecutive weekends in July and August 2024 as part of the “Pave-A-Thon” effort. These closures are necessary for a pavement rehabilitation project between Warm Springs and Flamingo roads. Northbound I-15 will reopen at Tropicana Ave on Sunday, July 28 at 5:00 a.m. rather than reopening at Russell Rd.

Closure Schedule:

• Northbound I-15: CLOSED from Warm Springs Rd to Flamingo Rd from 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 26 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, July 29. Northbound I-15 between Tropicana and Flamingo roads will REOPEN by 5:00 a.m. Sunday, July 28.

• Southbound I-15: CLOSED from Flamingo Rd to Warm Springs Rd from 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 2 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 5.

NDOT is collaborating with stakeholders to minimize the impact on businesses, their employees, and tourists. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and utilize the following communication tools to navigate the “Pave-A-Thon”:

• Mobile App: NDOT’s free project app provides real-time updates on traffic restrictions and detours. Search “I-15 Trop” in your app store.

• Project Website: i15Trop.com

• Social Media: Follow @i15Trop on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for updates.

• Hotline: Call 702-876-TROP (8767) for information.

• Email: Contact info@i15trop.com for inquiries.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones and take alternate detour routes if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Additional state highway information is available at dot.nv.gov or by calling (775) 888-7000. For the latest state highway conditions, visit nvroads.com or call 511 before driving.
