The Vegas Chamber has announced its plan to relocate its headquarters to the new City of Las Vegas Civic Plaza in 2025. This move involves a lease agreement with the City of Las Vegas for 13,000 square feet of office space, with a potential duration of up to 20 years.
The Las Vegas City Council approved this lease in a unanimous vote on October 2. The agreement was signed by Mary Beth Sewald, President and CEO of the Vegas Chamber, and will soon be signed by City Manager Mike Janssen.
As Nevada’s largest business association, the Vegas Chamber acts as both a resource and advocate for businesses across the state. The relocation aims to enhance service to the Las Vegas business community by facilitating closer connections between Chamber resources and city economic development services.
The Chamber plans to occupy its new office space by September 2025. “As an anchor tenant in the new Civic Plaza, the Vegas Chamber brings the business community in closer proximity to local government and the resources and relationships it offers to benefit employers and entrepreneurs,” stated Mary Beth Sewald.
Betsy Fretwell, Chairwoman of the Vegas Chamber’s Board of Trustees, expressed pride in this partnership: “We are proud of this partnership between the Vegas Chamber and the City of Las Vegas that will create more collaboration to support the Southern Nevada business community. We thank Mayor Goodman, City Manager Janssen, and the City Council for all their support to get this accomplished.”
Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman also commented on this development: “The city of Las Vegas is known around the world as an exciting destination for fun, travel and business,” she said. “We are ecstatic to welcome the Vegas Chamber, and the more than 4,000 members they represent, to the government corridor in downtown Las Vegas and the new Civic Plaza.”
