The Western Nevada College (WNC) Foundation will host its seventh annual Reach for the Stars Gala, “Giving Back to the Future,” on Saturday, Aug. 10. The event will feature entertainment, dining, and unique décor.

The WNC Foundation has announced that the Wells Fargo Foundation will again serve as the presenting sponsor for the gala. Wendell Blaylock, Wells Fargo Nevada Senior Social Impact and Sustainability Specialist, stated, “Wells Fargo recognizes that a well-educated population leads to greater economic stability. As ‘The Bank of Doing,’ we support events like Reach for the Stars in Northern Nevada because the proceeds help students achieve personal and professional success.”

Niki Gladys, Executive Director of Advancement at WNC, commented on Wells Fargo’s involvement: “Wells Fargo supports WNC’s mission of accessibility and is a model community partner. We are incredibly grateful to Wells Fargo for their generous donation, which makes higher education accessible to more students and helps them become financially independent. Wells Fargo’s continuous investment in our community empowers others to make better financial choices and build sustainable futures.”

The Wells Fargo Foundation aims to strengthen historically marginalized communities by investing in pathways to economic advancement and generational wealth. Its focus areas include housing affordability, financial health, small business growth, and sustainability.

With limited seating available, attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early. The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the WNC Dini Library in Carson City. Tickets are priced at $200 per person, $380 per couple or $1,500 per table of eight.
