Aspiring nurses interested in joining Western Nevada College’s Nursing program can now register for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) for the Spring 2026 semester. The college, which serves western Nevada through campuses in Carson City, Fallon, and Minden and provides a range of educational programs including associate degrees, certificates, and workforce training, has announced that students must complete the TEAS entrance exam by April 1, 2026 to be considered for admission into the Fall 2026 Nursing program. Details about the college’s offerings and campus locations are available on its official website at https://www.wnc.edu/.
Testing will take place at the Cedar Building Room 320C on WNC’s Carson City campus with check-in starting at 8:45 a.m. To register for the test, applicants need to create an account with ATI testing at https://www.atitesting.com and select Western Nevada College as their institution when choosing in-person proctored testing.
Dr. Audrey Auer, Director of Nursing and Allied Health at WNC, stated: “The TEAS exam is an important milestone for students pursuing nursing, and we encourage applicants to take advantage of these early testing dates. Planning ahead allows students to stay on track for Fall 2026 admission while ensuring they are well prepared for the academic rigor of our program. Our goal is to support aspiring nurses every step of the way as they begin this rewarding career.”
WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe added: “Western Nevada College is committed to preparing the next generation of nurses who will serve our communities with skill, compassion and confidence. By offering early testing opportunities and a clear pathway into our Nursing program, we are helping students take an important first step toward meaningful, in-demand careers — close to home and rooted in service.”
Western Nevada College maintains accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and operates as part of the Nevada System of Higher Education (https://www.wnc.edu/). The college emphasizes affordable education with small classes and personalized instruction.
