On April 12th, nearly 300 people gathered at KAOS Nightclub in The Palms for the Women United Fierce & Fearless Fashion Show Luncheon organized by the United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN). This event, presented by Light & Wonder, aimed to honor female leaders in Southern Nevada who are making significant contributions to their community.

“At United Way of Southern Nevada, we are committed to creating opportunities that empower women and families to build a stronger, more resilient future,” said Samuel Rudd, UWSN President & CEO. “Through Women United, we harness the collective power of philanthropy, service, and advocacy to make a meaningful impact in Southern Nevada. The fashion show luncheon is a prime example of how we bring that vision to life.”

Women United, part of the United Way of Southern Nevada, focuses on uplifting the community through a combination of financial investment and volunteer work. The group has supported vital programs in Southern Nevada for 18 years, contributing over $3.5 million and 8,200 volunteer hours.

The event featured a fashion show with unique designs from Anne Fontaine, René Tyler, and Vegas Balloon, reflecting the spirit of women who are making a difference. Additionally, singers from the Las Vegas Academy performed to inspire attendees.

The luncheon included a keynote speech by Nada Lena Nasserdeen, founder of Rise Up For You and a bestselling author, whose speech aimed to inspire the audience. Attendees could also participate in a Sip N Shop, supporting local women-owned businesses.

Proceeds from the event are allocated to the programs that help individuals and families throughout Southern Nevada thrive, aligning with UWSN’s mission.
