United Way of Southern Nevada receives $35,000 grant from U.S. Bank Foundation

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives in the community, announced it has received a $35,000 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation. The funds will support ongoing initiatives focused on providing access to housing, rehousing, and career development programs for low-income residents in Southern Nevada.

“Creating equitable opportunities for our community requires resources, and we appreciate the support from the U.S. Bank Foundation. This grant will allow us to continue building and expanding the innovative programs we’re proud to support in Southern Nevada,” said Samuel Rudd, UWSN COO/CFO. “Through the Community Possible grant, UWSN will continue our work of providing housing and employment pathways to those who need it most in our community.”

UWSN offers programs that help students reach their potential, ensure workforce entry pathways, and assist people in avoiding crises while maintaining household stability. In 2023 alone, the organization provided career assistance to over 2,600 individuals and offered food, housing, and utility bill assistance to 209,000 people.

We’re proud to work with organizations like United Way of Southern Nevada to help people succeed in their careers and build thriving communities,” said Arturo Pérez, community affairs manager at U.S. Bank.
