The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is now accepting applications for opening day hunt reservations at the Key Pittman and Overton Wildlife Management Areas. Applications must be submitted online at www.ndowlicensing.com, as paper applications will no longer be accepted.

Reservations are required for the opening day of duck and goose seasons at the Key Pittman Wildlife Management Area and for the first two hunt days of these seasons at the Overton WMA. For 2024, these reservation hunts are scheduled for October 12 at the Key Pittman WMA and October 26 and 28 at the Overton WMA.

"This is the first time these applications have been offered online, and we are ready to receive hunters’ applications," said Megan Manfredi, NDOW management analyst. "With the change in the application process, our staff will be standing by and ready to provide hunters with any assistance they might need."

The application period will remain open until 11 p.m. on September 9. Draw results will be released on or before Friday, September 20.

NDOW will begin taking reservations for the remainder of the waterfowl hunting season at the Overton WMA starting Monday prior to opening day. These reservations can be made via telephone from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, by calling 855-542-6369. Hunters can also receive assistance with any reservation application questions by calling this number.

All reservations, including those acquired through the opening day application process, must be used before reserving another hunt day.

At Key Pittman WMA, reservations for hunting are required only on the opening day of regular duck and goose seasons.
