Western Nevada College Foundation is set to host its 25th Golf for Education tournament fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 27, at Toiyabe Golf Club in Washoe Valley.
The scramble tournament aims to fund students in workforce training. Participants can anticipate various contests, premium perks, a BBQ lunch, and a post-tournament reception.
“I am excited for our annual golf tournament to support students and am sure it will be above par for the course in our 25th year,” said WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe.
The event also offers an opportunity to network with community leaders, enjoy food and drinks, and compete for prizes while supporting workforce development in the region.
"We are excited to, once again, host this exciting event while raising important funding for our students,” said WNC Foundation Executive Director Niki Gladys. “This tournament is a great opportunity for members of the community to help students with financial need acquire the certifications essential for meaningful employment to support Nevada's expanding economy."
