Two professors from the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), Ayla Koch and Dr. Mary Ann Hughes Butts, participated in the "Teaching and Learning with AI" conference held in Orlando, Florida, from July 22-24. The event was hosted by the University of Central Florida and attracted educators from 49 states and eight countries.

Professors Koch and Hughes Butts presented on two topics: "Navigating Innovation: Creating an Institution-Wide AI Task Force" and "Think You Can Catch Someone Using AI? Think Again!". These sessions generated significant interest among attendees regarding the future of AI in education, focusing on how schools can integrate AI while addressing its challenges.

CSN represented community colleges alongside major four-year institutions. Dr. James McCoy, Vice President of Academic Affairs at CSN, stated, “This amazing work aligns beautifully with our CSN vision—putting us as a leader among community colleges.”

CSN continues to prepare its students, faculty, and staff for advancements in AI technology.
