The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced the addition of a new kiosk in Carson City. The kiosk is located inside Smith's Grocery Store at 599 East William Street, providing an alternative to visiting the DMV office.

“The DMV Now Kiosks play an essential role in providing our customers numerous services within minutes,” said Director Tonya Laney. “This is a very exciting day now that we are branching outside of our Carson City building and allowing people to conduct their business off property.”

The kiosk offers several services, including vehicle registration renewals, driver history printouts, duplicate registrations and driver’s licenses, insurance suspension reinstatements, and acceptance of reinstatement payments.

Nevada DMV kiosks charge an additional processing fee of $4 for registration renewals and duplicates and $1.25 for all other transactions. All services offered on the kiosks are also available online.

“We’re really trying to make the experience at the DMV as convenient as possible,” added Laney. “Watch for more online services in the coming months including registration for new Nevada residents, private party sales, and vehicles purchased out of state.”

Further information about kiosk locations and services can be found on the DMV website.
