Las Vegas, NV – The Vegas Chamber has announced its list of endorsements for the upcoming General Election. The endorsements cover various races including the Nevada State Senate, State Assembly, Board of Regents, State Board of Education, Clark County Commission, Clark County Board of School Trustees, and City Council. Additionally, recommendations for two state ballot questions were provided.
The selection criteria for endorsements include each candidate’s voting record on priority bills (for incumbents), their stated positions on business-related policies, understanding of issues affecting employers and the regional economy, commitment to student achievement and educational excellence, as well as their willingness to collaborate with the Vegas Chamber and the business community.
The Government Affairs Committee of the Vegas Chamber made these decisions. This committee comprises 30 members from diverse industries who interviewed approximately 100 candidates to discuss policy positions, priorities, knowledge of business issues, and visions for the region and state.
Final endorsements from the Vegas Chamber will be announced in the coming weeks, including those for the Mayor of Las Vegas.

STATE BALLOT QUESTIONS
The Chamber endorses state ballot questions impacting employers, employees, and their families:
State Question 1: “Yes” – This measure seeks to provide clarity in governance oversight and enable reforms within the Nevada State Higher Education Board of Regents.
State Question 5: “Yes” – This measure proposes an exemption from sales tax on diapers.
STATE LEGISLATURE
Endorsements for 39 races in the Nevada State Senate and Assembly are based on candidates’ understanding of challenges faced by small employers and entrepreneurs. Other factors include their track record (if incumbent) with working alongside the Vegas Chamber and a pledge to maintain Nevada’s pro-business climate fostering job creation and prosperity.

State Board of Education:
Endorsed candidates include Tricia Braxton for District1 & Rene Cantu for District3 respectively
