CSN offers emergency equipment training on November 18

The College of Southern Nevada's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Department is offering hands-on emergency equipment training. The event is scheduled for Monday, November 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Henderson Campus Student Union, Room 130.


Superintendent Ebert seeks answers from CCSD on budget concerns

Superintendent of Public Instruction Jhone Ebert has addressed a letter to Clark County School District Interim Superintendent Dr. Brenda Larsen-Mitchell, posing follow-up questions about a potential budget shortfall. The communication, sent on Monday, includes 22 additional inquiries aimed at obtaining more detailed information.


Asian Community Development Council hosts night market to support AANHPI communities

The Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) is set to host an Asian Night Market on October 19, 2024. The event will feature local food vendors, games, and live cultural performances that celebrate the traditions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.

The area was adorned with colorful chalk drawings created by the children.

Participants can also design their own canvas bags to show why voting matters to them.

Nevada court dismisses mass voter challenge ahead of November elections

A mass voter challenge lawsuit in Washoe County, Nevada, has been dismissed with prejudice. The lawsuit was initiated by the Citizen Outreach Foundation and targeted over 11,000 voters for removal from Nevada's voter rolls. Douglas County updates South Shore Area Plan; Barton Hospital project delayed

A separate application from Douglas County to update the South Shore Area Plan has been initiated. However, elements of the update that included a special subdistrict for a medical facility on the Barton property, formerly known as Lakeside Inn and Casino, have been removed from the application while additional documents are prepared.
