Nevada State University proudly announces that President Dr. DeRionne P. Pollard has been named a 2024 National TRIO Achiever Award recipient by the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE). Nevada expands biliteracy seal to include Great Basin Native American languages

The Nevada Department of Education is collaborating with the Great Basin tribes to enable students who demonstrate proficiency in a Native American language to earn the Nevada State Seal of Biliteracy. In July, the department and tribal leaders held workshops at the Nevada Museum of Art to develop student assessments for gauging proficiency.

TMCC announces new art exhibits featuring faculty works

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Art Galleries are showcasing four new exhibitions this fall, including the 53rd Annual Art Faculty Exhibition. The exhibitions will run from Monday, Sept. 2 to Thursday, Sept. 26 at various locations on the Dandini Campus. NSHE awarded $750K grant by NASA EPSCoR for Moon-to-Mars robotics research

The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) has been awarded a $750,000 grant from NASA’s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). Pahrump DMV set to reopen after fire and flood disruptions

The Pahrump Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is set to reopen on Thursday, August 29, following a month-long closure due to an electrical fire and subsequent flooding. The State Fire Marshall's office conducted a final inspection last Monday, approving the reopening. Due to damage sustained by computers and other equipment, only five out of ten service windows will be operational.

Russ Poulin announces retirement after three decades with WICHE
