Basic nursing skills class available at Western Nevada College's Douglas campus

Future nursing students at Western Nevada College have a new opportunity to take the Basic Nursing Skills (NURS 129) class on the Douglas campus. This eight-week course, which satisfies a WNC nursing program admission requirement, is scheduled from October 21 through December 14. The class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Culinary Union, representing culinary workers and allied with the Bartenders Union, orchestrated a 48-hour walkout by 700 workers at Virgin Hotels in May to negotiate an expired contract.
