TMCC reflects on successful Year of Mental Health and Wellness

The Year of Mental Health and Wellness at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), promoted throughout the 2023-24 academic year, was deemed a success. The initiative was launched in response to growing concerns about student mental health, exacerbated by academic pressures, financial stress, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recommended by the TMCC Health and Wellness Committee and the Planning Council, "There has been great participation across campus," said YeVonne Allen, Executive Director of Student Life and Development.

Governor Joe Lombardo recently announced the retirement of the Honorable James T. Russell from the First Judicial District Court of Nevada, Department 1. Judge Russell will retire at the end of October 2024. The Commission on Judicial Selection will convene to fill the forthcoming vacancy. The application period opens August 12, 2024, and submissions are due by noon on September 19, 2024.

Construction spending declines as industry calls for regulatory relief
